The Bulgarian Danube Chamber (BDC) was established in 2010 as an association under the Bulgarian Act on Non-Profit Legal Entities. The association brings together leading Bulgarian companies and experts in river shipping, ports and related activities. The organisation's main objectives are to promote the sustainable development of Bulgaria’s river transport industry, to foster cooperation between business and institutions at national, cross-border and international level, to undertake legislative initiatives and to improve the professional qualifications of personnel in the sector.
