Limited River Cargo Traffic from and to Port of Constanta

River freight traffic from and to port of Constanța remains halted near km 280 following an incident of October 6, 2026. Due to the fairway blockage, more than 30 ships and over 100 barges are currently unable to proceed in either direction. This disruption severely impacts cargo logistics, including export shipments of Ukrainian grain consigned to international markets. Port operators and shipowners are calling on the Romanian authorities to immediately intervene and establish a clear timeline for reopening navigation.
